Yeah, I don't think he was voting against the gay guy -- the tweet happened much later, and as stupid as it was to say, I don't think he's a raging homophobe. Just a guy who hasn't figured out that shooting the shit with his buddies is a lot different than putting something out there to thousands of people, and as many interpretations.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
I think it was more that he didn't want to lose country dude, but still.
I do think this was (at least) part of the decision, in all fairness, but I still think part of the reason is Patrick's straight all-American look.
There's got to be some element of top/bottom in the pairings, doesn't there? I mean, you wouldn't want to put your two favorites together, knowing one of them has to go. Although, how much opinion could they really have at this point? All they've done is picked them, and presumably they each really wanted all 8 of their people.
I thought the way to go would be to pair the most similar voices/performers, because you only need one? That seems to be what Christina and Cee-Lo did.
Given how quickly they had to pick, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them had one or two they have doubts about.

Adam thought his guy was a girl! So, yeah, I figured they would pair up the ones they felt more "stuck" with.
I definitely got the feeling that Adam Levine was surprised by the guy he eliminated last night, and not in a good way.
(or what Megan Walker said)
I'm now thinking they will have 1 wild card each, either one of their own rejects, or, even better, one of the rejects from the other coaches.
I do hope they have wild cards. And I liked Taralyn better than Frenchie. Ah well. And I too assumed Blake picked the or guy because he's cuter/less quirky, even if it wasn't homophobia.
I liked Frenchie better, the high-voiced dude (Tim?), neither of Christina's particularly well (but agreed with her choice), and I loved Tyler (he got robbed!)
