Very convincing. Makes me completely want to put myself under government control. Please take me to where you can make me unconscious and naked.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Okay, I am not watching some of these shows under discussion, but I am popping in to say a) Dominic on ABDC is causing me physical pain, and making me miss the other judges' commentary from flailing desperately at the 30-second button to avoid having him open his mouth.

And b) on Top Shot I am so disappointed that the cadre has managed to oust a) all civilians, b) all blue team members and c) their archenemy. So much for, these guys are not about the drama. I still cannot figure out for the life of me why Jamie got under their skin. Is the disdain for Navy guys really that severe? I'm glad Ashleigh's gone because I lost all respect for him. I still like Joe and am glad he got his chance to redeem himself even though he's definitely part of the clique. And I want to like Chris Reed, but his story changes too much for me to still feel like he's a man of integrity. Gunny is too passive. And George is the world's biggest asshole. So I don't even know who I'm cheering for at this point.

Yeah, I loved that first Real World cast. Who knew what it was going to all lead to.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't remember Tami Roman from the Real World LA, but she was just on Basketball Wives this year, and is kind of an interesting person, kind of a hot mess, almost definitely creating drama for the camera and the story line. So.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

erika, I totally did not take your question badly. I think it's totally legit as so many of the folks on reality TV are deeply, deeply unlikeable.

Sigh. I miss seasons 1-3 of The Real World. As soon as Stephen slapped Irene on the Seattle season, it was all downhill from there.

Sigh. And now I'm sad because I'm such an old head reality TV ho. Damn kids. Get offa my lawn.

Also, whoever said Dom on the ABDC judge panel is wholly unpleasant, preach! I just can't stand him.

I was just thinking that too, kat. I have no space to look down my nose at any reality show viewing because I was in it from the start. But I think that gives me the latitude to look down at it now. Today's reality shows, hmph.

Art Crawl!!!

Wasn't Tami the one who got into fight or something with the comic and was pulled down the hallway by a towel or something?

Tami Roman from the Real World LA

Tami! She was the blueprint for the bitchy black drama queen on The Real World. She also instigated the first roommate eviction when she got David kicked out of the house for pulling her out of the bed when she was "naked" (but not really because she totally had on panties and a wifebeater which practically qualifies as overdressed on today's Real World) and then claiming that his having done so was akin to her being raped live on national TV. So much drama. Although she did give me one of my favorite nonsense lines, "It wasn't not funny!" which she screamed at David while he was trying to explain to her that the whole thing had been a joke. Oh, Tami.

Although she did have a really affecting storyline that season, too. She got pregnant and had an abortion during the filming of the season. It was very tough stuff but handled with a lot of grace, or so I thought at the time.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

wasn't she also the one who had her jaw wired shut to lose weight?

Art Crawl!!!

No way - did everything that happened in season 2 center around Tami?
