You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]

Because books.

The colors looked wet, muddy leaves! And a lot of the cropped tops with baggy pants pairs were total '80s! Do not understand.

I think Heidi would ROCK Mondo's polka dot dress.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Okay, I think I just broke up with PR. I do not get it.

Luckily, I think I was spoiled for this last week, so I have gone through my stages of grief prior to watching this episode. I would have been losing my shit right now otherwise.

Holy god Nina, it's not "orientalist" when it's done by an Asian designer. I mean, what the fuck??

right?

Because books.

Halfway through, when I realized they actually LIKED Gretchen's collection, I started to drink heavily.

Metaphorically, anyway.

It was fun to watch Heidi and Michael go at it, though.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

did you all see Tim Gunn's reaction. I think he was saying WTF along with us.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Bah.

It's funny, when they describe Gretchen's clothes - easy sexiness and Boho and earthy - that's totally my kind of clothes. But when I look at them, I don't like them at all. Don't like the palette and generally don't like the cuts.

I don't like the outcome, but I did enjoy the judges wrangling.

It's striking to me that Heidi likes that polka dot dress so much when it's so not a typical Heidi dress.

Orientalism, Nina? Seriously?

!

I think I'm glad I'm not watching this season.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

This was a bad ending. I do not understand what drugs Kors and Garcia were taking.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

What I don't get is that what they have previously complained about in designers in seasons past they praised the winner for this time around.

I don't get it.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

from a comment on Twop:

That was as much about damage control as it was about fashion. Running Through Thunder indeed. I hadn’t planned to watch but my friend came by and insisted. She works as a crisis management specialist. Once we saw the mini-reunion before Fashion Week and the content thereof, she turned to me and said, “Oh shit. This means Gretchen wins. Damn.”
