I must admit Christina and Robb really surprised me with how well they did.
Me too.
The thing that bugged me about everyone's rooms (except for Surfer Dude's) was that they all kinda looked the same. The colors and accessories were different but the furniture was used and placed in the same way. They decorated but no one seemed to design anything.
I wish HGTV had up last year's recaps (or maybe I wish I could find them) because I feel as though, last year, more people reinvented the things they were given. I know that at least one person (Alice?) took apart the bookcase and made shadowboxes.

I told her that I had had a friend from NY in town last week who had really wanted to see her in B'more and she was all "You should have called me!!!"

I think there was at least one person who turned the bookcase on it's side and hung it instead of standing it up.
I think I would've taken a chainsaw to the sofa and turned it into two slipper chairs. Anything to make it look less cookie cutter.
There was something blinding about all those spaces when they first came in and it was all white on white.
It felt a little like a fun house but, instead of mirrors, it was IKEA in every direction.
