Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I saw two episodes of The Singing Bee this weekend, and kind of loved it. Because I could play along! And it knew exactly how cheesy it is.

the reported "twist" in Rob Mariano's reality show is bugnuts

Holy crap. Seriously. Although I really can't imagine anyone with any money doing the show. "Hell, I've got a buck-fifty-two. I'm in!"

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I thought each person was going to have to take out a life insurance policy in which the players were the beneficiaries in the order in which they placed in the game.

I actually would prefer this twist as opposed to the real one.

I loved Singing Bee because it was cheese on a stick. I was singing along the whole time.

SYTYCD: I loved Jesus and Sara's Wade routine and think it is hands down one of the best routines ever on this show. I loved Lacey and Kameron's Mia routine. I've also thought a lot of the ballroom routines have been better this year (probably thanks to tons less Alex DaSilva). And while I think the overall technical level of dancing among this group is higher than S2, there aren't the same big personalities. S2 had Benji and Ivan and Natalie and Travis and Musa . . . some really big personalities. Even some of the kids who got voted of early, Ben and Jaymz and Dmitri were very present. I mean, I remember Ben a lot more for his snarky, emo boy ways than for his dancing. I think both the choreography and the dancing from a techinical level have been solid for S3, but the people don't pop in the same way.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Is anyone watching Hell's Kitchen?? I missed a few minutes and missed something big, I think. Where did Josh go??

Thrive to spite them

Oh I'm missing it because of The Closer (which is very very funny).

I have no idea what happened to Josh. But I knew that Ramsay was going to do something for Julia. I knew it! This is why I like Ramsay.

What he do to get fired?

After seeing some of the stuff that Ramsay's said in interviews and also some of his actions on Nightmares I figured he'd do something like this. He really respects people with talent and work hard. I hope Julia has a shining career in her future.

Chef Ramsey + Julia + culinary school = love!

I was hoping he wouldn't kick anyone out since he kicked Josh out in the middle of service because I had a feeling that Julia would go tonight.
