We have to see the chimp playing hockey! That's hilarious! The ice is so slippery, and, and monkeys are all irrational. We have to see this!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why did I buy Air Supply's All Out of Love? I thought I was confusing myself with Father Figure and Faith from George Michael, but at least I was at ground zero for those...

I had such a good time at dinner that I don't think I can ever take a break from krav because it's the only thing that gets me actually seeing people (and uh, grossing them out, and laughing until I don't have enough oxygen).

I'm such a lamer these days that the fun has to come right up to me. I can't seek it out myself.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Why did I buy Air Supply's All Out of Love?

Ouch. That's not the sort of thing you should admit on a public forum.

There's a reason I'm not in y'alls music thread. I just didn't know this was it.

I need to go to sleep but I'm wired from a great night out and it's going to kill me tomorrow and I have a compulsion to make "the BITCH is in" t-shirts and mugs.

In my house?

Yeah, that's how lame I am. My locus has a 2 mile radius these days. It's beyond pathetic.

But the T-shirt's coming along great.

unless you're inviting me over for a DVD party in which case I'll be there as soon as I sober up!

Well, I made my T-shirt, so I'm done for the night.

God, I'm going to regret this in the morning.

Perhaps I should just have that DVD party...wait, no, can't blow week on Day One. One and a Half. Whatever.

Hey, Allyson, guess what's on order at my local library? And already has five holds on it?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Giant rice-paddy art: [link]

Like, field-size. Awesome. The site's in Chinese, but BoingBoing had this to say:

Pink Tentacle describesthe practice of growing giant rice-paddy illustrations "by growing a little purple and yellow-leafed kodaimai rice along with their local green-leafed tsugaru-roman variety." There's a fantastic gallery of these illustrations, ranging from "36 Views of Mount Fuji" to various demons, gods and traditional illustrations, as well as the Mona Lisa.

This is my fave: [link]
