Susan what are doing? are you working? writing?
Natter 52: Playing with a full deck?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Both. I started a new job a few months back as operations manager for the spiritual care department (i.e. chaplains and chaplaincy education) at one of the local hospital systems. It's a good fit, even if the bureaucracy can be a bit crazy-making. Basically, I wrestle bureaucracy so the chaplains don't have to. I started a new novel a few months ago, too. See Great Write Way for details.
Lee, should I give you a wake-up call?
Going to a Harry Potter party tonight, if I can stay awake for it!
And then reading, with an interruption for the girly SF outing.
"Who is that, Isis?"
That's a strange one to guess...
Although I've had Isis on the mind since my Discovery Channel binge while I was in hospital. For a while I was contemplating having my next tattoo be her horns and solar disc. Then I decided I didn't want beef tattooed on me.
This weekend I work and...I got nothing else. Wish I had painkillers, I assume.
Dealing with Bureaucracy so others don't has a reward that helps with the crazy making
I've got a haircut planned. I also need to start plotting out what to do in Birmingham. I mean, I won't be going anywhere with the kids solo, but I'd like to have at least one random form of entertainment for the preschooler each day. I know at some point, we'll paint the house with water. That way when I'm flailing at dirty diapers and mischeif, I can know what can happen next.
My state delegate sent me a belated birthday card. Which, thoughtful and all, but a bit random.
I'm feeling randomly bllue. I hope it's just hunger.
Lee, should I give you a wake-up call?
You sure you want to risk it?
I'm taking Ben to the HP shindig at Barnes & Noble tonight, but we're not staying till midnight. I have to work 8 to 5 tomorrow (::glares at work::). Stephen will pick up the book tomorrow. Last time, we got it early Saturday, no problem, and cheap at Target.
Weather permitting, we're going to the Renaissance Faire on Sunday. Yay! It's such a good one. Last year we had a blast.
You sure you want to risk it?
No problem. I can be all chirpy at you, knowing that you have not yet perfected the technology that allows you to reach through the cell phone connection and strangle me. By the time we see each other, the coffee will have kicked in and you'll be human again.
