I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

When all the James Frey shit hit the fan, I went through the book and said, "can I prove this happened?"

I recently found two errors; the name of a party venue, and the year something occured (I was off by two months, DOH) which have been eating at me.

I keep telling myself I'm allowed those sorts of mistakes, as long as they are few and far between.

But that I'm lying about things I've done and said? I can't have that in my world.

I expect some people will hate the book, thing the writing is bad, think I'm an asshole and such. And that will hurt my feelings and all, but it's the way of it and I'm a big girl.

A liar I am not.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The part that really chaps my hide is that I told this woman all of this when it occured in 2004, and she's still spreading the crazy.

Oh yeah, she's just crazy.

Because books.

Aw, fan mail! And crazy!nasty! fan mail. That part sucks.

My favorite was a woman who wrote to upbraid me for using naughty language, but made it clear that she had READ THE WHOLE book anyway. Um, okay.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

crazy and not our kind of crazy. PLUS, the two good letters are SO GOOD! You made a teenager feel better about the lonely! THAT right there is 100% AWESOME. I am not above texting you that fact 10X a day missy.

Allyson, I finished the book yesterday. Since I read it ONLY on the subway and few pages in the work elevator, I hope I spread knowledge of it a bit. I can report two subway readers twisting about to get a good read of the cover. Also several smiles after reading the cover.

Thanks to all for the advice/comments last night. It is hard for me to report on the symptoms to my Dr. because with Fibro and a high stress job and stress of mac medical, I stay in a pretty constant state of achy and joint pain.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ugh, Allyson. Yeah, there are some people you just have to give up engaging with.

Hey, what fruit is in season now? I mean, if I wanted to make a pie what could I get at the peak of its freshness and splendour here in LA?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

in CA, isn't all (domestically grown) fruit in season all the time? (not being sarcastic, that was my impression)

paperdol, I know how the douchebags always seem to stick more in your mind when it comes to feedback, but please remember:

You made a teenager feel better about the lonely!

Dude! Do you know how powerful and awesome that is?

I have a red leather Franco Sarto purse that I love and pet and call George. I only buy purses when my current one is falling apart, or if I need something specific. Like a concert purse for money and keys and cell phone and smokes.

Blueberries are cheap right now. I'd wondered. I've never made blueberry pie...maybe I could do peach too..

Thanks, guys. I suck at seasonality. Even in Jamaica where we had no imported fruit could I tell you the seasons of what we grew in our yard. Cause and effect in my environment is a pretty new thing for me, and I'm still trying to get the hang of it.
