Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

But very impressed with today's deer, so that's something.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

The deer was lovely, the dog-and-deer adorable. Laura's son ... um ... if I were a LOT younger I'd be making tracks to Otter Lake.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Happy birthday, SA!

I don't mind sharing your pain wrt badfic, I just want a warning.
Word.
That takes away the mystery. Which, okay, is sometimes merciful.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Dana, thank you for the link to good fic yesterday.

I'm out of my Lupin/Tonks mood and feel the need for Ron/Hermione now.

brillig

I miss looking out the back door of my house in rural Pennsylvania and seeing the deer wandiering around in the morning mist.

I miss fireflies, too. And whipoorwills.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

SA, happy birthday!

Zenkitty, it's not that far a drive. IJS

ooo. mmm. Really?

Passing vehicles said they did not stop to help because they thought it was a domestic disturbance.

If it's one guy, yeah okay maybe. But "robbers" plural? They saw two or more guys pulling a struggling screaming woman out of a car, and they thought it was domestic? No they didn't; they just didn't want to get involved. People suck. That little boy, though, rocks. What a brave, smart kid. He should get a medal or something. SOmebody rich should offer to pay his college tuition.

I miss looking out the back door of my house in rural Pennsylvania and seeing the deer wandiering around in the morning mist. I miss fireflies, too. And whipoorwills.

Yeah. And bullfrogs. I used to lie in bed at night and listen to the bullfrogs. So soothing.

Me too, only in CT. It's been so nice to be surrounded by them again.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

Anyone else see the (I assume) final episode of Traveler last night?

They came really, really close to wrapping things up in a halfway decent manner, and then they had the stupidest final scene in the history of ever, and ruined everything.
