I don't want to see Frank Miller naked, thankyew.
How come damage to a tiny part of the brain can change everything about a person, but removal of an entire half can just leave one with a few motor issues.
Short version: plasticity. Until the Jello mold sets -- as it does in stages throughout childhood -- you can do a lot of rearranging of what happens where in the brain! Which is why you can do stuff to a child's brain you would never be able to get away with in an adult's brain. And then, on the fMRI, you get entertainingly crazy results like language processing being done in the math module, or social responses lighting up the whole hemisphere instead of just one section.

Mostly Sirius/Remus, but there's some Remus/Tonks on there, and you can trust anything she writes or recs.
I have no Frank. I have no LJ. Happycat has run out of happy, man.
Any word a'tall on the LJ problem? Maybe HP related?
I know someone who only has half a brain. Congenital birth defect. She's about my age, so born before prenatal ultrasound, so she was quite a bit older when her family first found out.
Ailleann, why you gotta strikethrough? Come on, it's the closest-to-canon gay pairing HP's got!
It's so true. I was just reluctant to get all slashy in Natter. (In hindsight, I have no idea why.)
