'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's a good plan, ita. I hope it works out, because boy you are due to catch a break.

I'm going to bed. However, before I do, I'd like to indulge in pure, unadulerated, ridiculous, unreasonable selfishness: more pictures, more stories.

Or, in lieu of that, the certainty of knowing that a lot of parents and friends are snuggling their babies instead of indulging in my selfishness. Which I know they are. It makes me grin.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

fingers crossed for you, ita.

I cleaned the whole house so I'm indulging now. I just had Dove Beyond Chocolate Chunk Cookies, watching Marie Antoinette, next is night cap and then bed.

Good luck to you, ita--I hope you feel better really soon.

Devi brought me her ribbon to sling about. And then she hopped in the tub. I swung the ribbon, she chased it. She's really noisy in the tub. Paws and elbows and head and full body fwumps and cracks. Plus the click of claws. And the MWERP MWERP MWERP.

Amarna likes to knock little things off of the sink into the tub, where she can chase them around. She had a blast with the little plastic medicine measuring cup I had just cleaned out.

Thanks for the shoe reccie, Vortex! That first company looked like they had nice shoes, but unfortunately they only go up to size 11--I wear 12s. But the second rec for the Doc Martens led me to Zappo's, where I found these Puma oxfords. Does anyone know if Puma's are comfy? Because I like the way these look.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Don't know. I rec'd the Merrells and the Docs because they are super comfy and good for standing a lot. I wore my Docs every day for 6 weeks when backpacking through Europe.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I just finished paperdol's book. Happy sigh of love for the book, sad sigh that there is no more nummy prose to read. I have peektures that I must post, but now I must eat dinner. I think I'll watch Pippin during dinner, because Ben Vereen + Bob Fosse = LOVE.

I might go go with these--they're Nurse Mates, which means they're meant for people who are on their feet all day. They might not be the most fashionable style around, but my current pair isn't any better.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I think I'm going to pick up another copy this weekend (I've got one coming from Amazon). I can take my friends up to the store and geek out so they all have to get one too.
