Whereas, the whole vitamin water concept strikes me vaguely as the liquid version of "Just eat a frelling muffin, whitey!"
It's like drinking juice or soda, but less sweet, which is what I'm looking for.

Lewis Black has a great bit on bottled water and how "Aqua Fina" is "the end of water as we know it."
Aqua Fina just tastes wrong, dude.
I filter at home, mostly so I can keep it crazy cold. It does taste a bit better, but that's not such an issue in Chicago as in other places I've lived. But for out of the house, I love being able to grab a bottle wherever I go. I'm not organized enough, or regular enough in my habits, to make my own.
hee ... that sounds like something Martha Stewart would come up with, "make your own water!" As a matter of fact, I think someone did a parody of her with just that.
I only drink out of my Brita, but DC has NASTY tap water (though by now, I don't notice it so much). Mostly, however, it's just so that I've got cold water and don't have to put ice cubes in it. I hate ice cubes unless I have a straw.

Yeah, it hits a nice spot where it is tastier than water and less crap than juice/soda. On the other hand, I picture VH1's "I love the 00's!" and the Michael Ian Black-bot mocking us for going apeshit over watered-down gatorade.

God, it's so true.

Has he tasted Gatorade? Because I have had a bunch of both Vitamin Water and watered-down sports drinks, and the difference in taste is HUGE. Now, there's bitching to be done about Fruit Water, but I like it so much that I'm not going to do it.
Aqua Fina just tastes wrong, dude.
I'd rather drink Tijuana tap water.
That's a great interview, paperdol!
Except for the part where Gatorade is narsty and Vitamin Water (and Fruit Water) are AWESOME!!!11!!!!
