HA! It's funny when it's the uncle.

See, this is where Fun Uncle Syndrome is your best friend EVER.

I watched part of FNL, cause I was on the phone with the 'rents. Um, still love. To the point where I will buy the dvd of the run episodes when it comes out. I don't buy dvds of series. I don't rewatch. But, um. I love the family.

I guess I shouldn't mention that my brother has been exposing the neph to Alien and Predator and all the variants. Neph thinks it is SO COOL. I'm like, uh, I was mentally scarred from a not-nearly-as-scary mtv video in the 80s. Still freaks me out. Ball gags. Yikes. But, the kiddo seems unharmed and is really empathetic so it seems to have left him unharmed.

If proclaiming his name is Predator and setting "traps" around the house. To protect his brother.

I had an unconventional childhood in some ways. Guess the neph is getting one too. I realize some might be appalled by my neph's upbringing, but I gotta say, he knows he's loved and protected and knows how to do the same. Even though he does like to play velociraptor A LOT. Hee.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Poor Mac noodle. Love the pants idea though

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Even though he does like to play velociraptor A LOT.

As long as he's not eviscerating people with his toenails.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I will flat out tell someone that I see at a violent or scary film that they need to hire a fucking babysitter.

And you'd be right. And I'd have to kick you out if the family complained.

Nah, he's just running around in random patterns making screeching noises while my brother tosses the football with the neph's best buddy (who is the son of a super athlete. Unlikely friends.)

Funny thing is, when D was 5 months old, my brother (accurately) described the noises D made as "just like the velociraptors in Jurassic Park!" Who knew that would stick?!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can't help but snicker at Fun Uncle. Hopefully all you get is a tired Mac, and one who makes it through Monday OK.

I have slept way too much today. On one had I needed it, on the other, I hope I haven't overnapped for tonight's sleep.

I bounced off a comment in LJ today that had me reading up on hate literature. I hope that doesn't leave a mark.

I found one of my own quotes for the first time ever a while back. I stared at it thinking, "wait. what?" For a few moments before I realized the BRQG is a living document.

Now tagless for your comfort.

And you'd be right. And I'd have to kick you out if the family complained.

I'd go--but I'd probably walk out to applause from other patrons.
