GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

So I have returned from the hospital with the GF. She's tired but happy to be home. Just very disappointed we had to leave Mattias behind. Tomorrow she'll be going down to the hospital during the day with her mother and grandmother while I'm at work to visit. Then the rest of the week I'll be picking her up after work and we'll drive down to visit with him for awhile, hopefully bringing him back home with us on Friday.

We called the hospital when we got home and he seems to have kept his 6pm feeding down, which is good. Hopefully that will continue.

Glad to hear Noah and Grace are doing well.

While I'm sure I'll make plenty of mistakes as a parent, I'm pretty sure I can avoid most of the boneheaded ones. Allyson and Laga's stories are just infuriating. Of course, I've seen plenty of way too young kids in movie theatres. I recall seeing Blade 2 in the theatre and a man was there with his 6 year-old daughter telling to close her eyes for all the gorey parts.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Kalshane, I hope you can bring Mattias home ASAP.

OH! Speaking of babies: My mother just told me that a childhood friend just had one, and it was OVER TWELVE POUNDS. Holy crap.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Friends of our family once bought an entire steer. The weird thing is: they had their pictures taken with it before it was slaughtered. They were kinda weird. Yeah.

My cousin once got so attached to the steer she raised that she wouldn't let my uncle slaughter it. It ended up as a pet and they had to go purchase another steer for their usual supply.

My folks would usually split a steer with my aunt & uncle when they had all five kids at home. It was cheaper than buying meat at the grocery store. Better quality meat, too.

We've toyed with the idea of a deep freeze for awhile. Can't seem to pull the trigger on the purchase. Although it would make sense with buying ice cream and frozen waffles at Costco, though.

I will flat out tell someone that I see at a violent or scary film that they need to hire a fucking babysitter.

The adult-party people piss me off, too. WTF? As a parent, I know what it's like to miss cool parties. But it's a sacrifice you make. Or you hire a fucking sitter.

I'm going to start watching FNL from the beginning this week-- I missed so much of it during the year and now I can't wait to see the full run.

Me, too. That is, I started recording it last week and will start watching..sometime. Glad they are doing the comprehensive rerunning, that's for sure!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I saw enough of it to know I liked it, so a while back I bought the whole season from itunes, thinking I would catch up before the season ended.

Oops.
