You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Or I can just say, "here." and you can choose any coMMic you like from the dropdown menu

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm with Burrell, as I so often am -- the way they've stated their selling point leads one to believe that they're euthanizing all their culls. Not to mention with a whole lot of wild cat genes, the culls could be downright dangerous to people. Although with a baseline of 50 X $22K per year, they could have a mini-sanctuary where the culls run free, terrorizing the birds and squirrels and raccoons and badgers and smaller deer.

A friend of mine just adopted a Chinese Crested dog -- although it's not a naked dog. It turns out that the dog gene that produces hairlessness is a lethal recessive along the same lines as the Manx gene in cats, so that your basic breeding stock includes more hairy dogs than not. In fact, they're downright fluffy, and called Puffballs. I can testify that her cull is adorable and well-behaved....

What is even happening?

Congratulations, Kalshane and GF! Welcome to the world Mattias James -- you long, tall drink of water.

That's a long labor, Kalshane. Poor GF. Coddle her as much as she'll let you.

When I told Pete about the news (with the "Oh look, fandom go 'splody!" angle), he looked at me and said "But you're married to me. He can't have you." Which I think says something about how Pete's mind works, but I'm not sure what.

So is it that he's convinced I'm going to run off with my Rock Star Crush, or is it that he's convinced that someone needs me around to find True Happiness? Either way, I think it's kinda cute.

Jilli, you two are already our OTP and yet I'm sitting her melting into so much schmoop, very early on a Saturday morning.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Weird Science!

That's daycare science! We called it Oobleck. Good times.

I still don't understand why, on Saturday, I wake up before my alarm would have gone off on a weekday.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

imdb says it's just a pilot. Is it picked up for sure?

Yes, 13 eps. (ABC wouldn't have sent it out for review if they hadn't picked it up.)

Ugh. It's not that hot out today, but it's incredibly muggy, which is worse. I wish it would just rain already.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

good start to the day. I got up at 8 and cleaned the bathroom and cat boxes and picked up clutter in the living room. Then got through half an episode of Ellen before the handyman came by. Estimate on grout work in my bathroom is 1 day of work (a few hours) and less than 100 bucks. WHEE!

The guy to get me my storage unit in the basement is supposed to be here at 10, so I am finishing the Ellen and getting some food.

Well see where the day goes after I get the keys to the storage unit. My guess is it will take me a couple of hours to get the pre-identified stuff down there and organized.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Man, this real estate thing is kicking my ass. Stress and indecision and fear and doubt and stress and...urgh. I just want this done and over with.

Now tagless for your comfort.

That is a gorgeous cat, but I sure wouldn't want to wrangle it into a carrier.

A friend of mine here had a serval. Her ex-husband was a vet and they ended up with Chervil as a rescue. She kept him in the house because he would kill all the small wildlife around her farm. But when he got out, she had to catch him by baiting a trap with a live chicken.

He eventually escaped for good but she doesn't think he made it through the winter last year.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Saw Knocked Up last night. It was particularly funny. Though K got carded on the way into the movie because it was R. That cracked me up.

Also saw the Hobbit that is on Lost driving down Fletcher on his way to the freeway. When the guy who was driving the black mercedes convertible cutoff K, I turned around to give him the evil eye and lo! it was a hobbit.
