Welcome to the club.
Do we have t-shirts, or at least a secret handshake?
Lee, we must schedule get-together time in July. Is July good for you?
Yes, we really should. I will be in Maine the first week, and Juliana and I have a concert at the very end, but other than that it is good.
I too am dubious about the feasibility of IQ tests at age 2. Really, nothing the child was doing except learning French (I assume none of her family speak it conversationally?) sounded all that amazing to me.
We did indeed miss Lee. And Betsy, and beth. But fun was had, and I was glad I got to buy JZ an early b-day present (that was VERY pretty). I was just sad I had to ditch to go to work. Work=lame.
Also, a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Tep!

Drawing the perfect circle was the only thing that sounded exceptional to me. Two year olds don't generally have the fine motor skills for that. French? I'd need to know more context. She sounds quite bright, but the person who was amazed about her knowing the difference between purple and pink doesn't.
I still can't draw a perfect circle!
I envy sara's productive day yesterday, as I lacked any productivity entirely.
I am so tired and rundown, so frayed at the edges, that doing anything beyond sleeping or reading is unlikely.
I still can't draw a perfect circle!
Neither can I! And I swear there's a purple that most of the rest of the world thinks is blue... and they're wrong.
That's incredibly dorky, the circle thing. My grade school art teacher yelled at us for having horribly imperfect "straight" lines. Mine still suck. It's why I prefer drawing people to buildings any day.
Lee, we don't need a handshake, since we never see each other. The T shirt should be ready any day now.
Promise.
I think my headache may be driving me insane.
I am fairly sure my sister knew the difference between pink and purple very early. I believe she's bright, but I also thought this was the age when kids vary so widely. I think my 3 year old nephew is a little behind in language skills, but I think it is because he speaks a mixture of Japaneses and english. sentence structure is a bit more complex when you hear two languages.
I'm in the lame club with Lee and Betsy! My life just lack co-ordination this weekend
