Hmm. It's sounds like the finest party I can imagine getting paid to go to.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It's a folkie kind of weekend. Open Sing tonight, Washington Folk Festival tomorrow and Sunday.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Ha! I knew someone would bite.

Yeah, I was thinking, "This is too obvious," when I was posting....

Naw, tommy, I enjoyed it.

Where is everyone?

What should I get my dad for Father's Day? He is into all sports teams in the state of Georgia (Bulldogs, Braves, Falcons), NASCAR, and country music. Yes, he is a Southern cliche. The last gift that I got him that was a huge huge hit was the DVD Standing in the Shadows of Motown. He has always been big into Motown.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

He has always been big into Motown.

I bet he'd love The Big Ol' Box of Soul - which is not only an amazing collection, but the best designed box set ever.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm at work. I feel like I just got done figuring out what to get Dad for his birthday and it's already father's day. I sat here for a few minutes but I couldn't think of anything for your dad, Gloomcookie. I may get my Dad another Gift Certificate from Audible.com assuming he's already used up the last one.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm getting my dad a grandson. And maybe a card.

Holy fuck, I'm tired. Could someone dilate spacetime for me so we get another 3-day weekend? Thanks in advance...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't think I want a three day weekend. While I truly appreciated the chance to redo Saturday, the four day week felt longer than a normal fiver.

And I am beyond spent now.

Hmm. Did Lee ask about weekend plans and I missed it?

Well--I have none. None. I mean other than being stuck with needles and teaching krav. None. And I'm going to do my damndest to limit ad hoc social activities to ones that take place in my living room.

I'm currently watching email discussion about seeing Knocked Up piling deep in my inbox, and I lack even the energy to say I don't think I'll go.

That's thoughtful. I'm getting mine a phone call, probably. Although that BBOM looks cool. Pricey, but cool.

my weekend plans involve working, organizing my new!room and watching the last episode of at least one or possibly both Home Movies & Hamish MacBeth so I can send them back to Netflix.
