I just think you're freakin' out 'cause you have to fight someone prettier than you.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh, hee, they're about to have the fainting goats on Wild About Animals. I love those guys.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I just had the first test of the extended fraud watch on my credit, and it's all good. I noticed recently that I've been carrying around an expired credit card, and I never got the new one. OK, it's possible I misplaced the new one. Anyway, I called to get another new one, and they said someone would have to call me back to confirm, because of the fraud watch. And no one's been using my card. So that's good! Also good for my general finances that I've been using credit so little.

Our wings are not tired.

The lolcats are such a lovely diversion.

Update on my friend Bob. Brain scan shows NO indication of damage, Huge relief. Still sedated, on vent, ICU, big heart issues to deal with, but this we can deal with much easier than brain damage. Phew.

{{Anne and Family}} Your step-dad is in my thoughts and prayers.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Anne, I'm hoping hard for your stepfather's health.

Good news about Bob, Laura!

brillig

With modern technology, hearts are very fixable.

Well, physically. Break your blood vessels, we can rebuild it. Break your heart, you're SOL.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm supposed to meet people in SF at 10:30 for brunch.

I woke up about 10 minutes ago.

These things are not as compatible as they should be.

The evil is this way?

YIKES! Too fast. I shouldn't be surprised. Julia has been 8 for nearly 7 months, but still.

If I remember anything at all about Narrator!Niece, you'd better do more than expect pink. You'd best produce it.

You remember her well. How is your princess doing?

And where the holy heck have you been? I don't think I like your job any more.

Yea, it’s losing its appeal for me, too. But the Lotto-funded retirement plan is not coming together yet.

What is even happening?

You remember her well. How is your princess doing?

Very well. She just got a very short hair cut, and is the only girl in her grade at school, and the only girl on her softball team to have one. She loved it, and loved being the first, until one girl (who seriously, is not nearly as cute as my girl) told her she looked like a boy. I told her the girl was just jealous, because J is so much prettier (and she is, truly).

School was out Thursday, thank goodness.

But the Lotto-funded retirement plan is not coming together yet.

Damn it. We're having the same problem. When are our eight year old princesses going to take their rightful place on their throwns, rule the world, and send some riches our way?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.
