Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I know they're a card to give to a daughter, but I liked the sentiment so much (plus am obnoxious) that I had to send it to mother mine.

That's awesome.

I totally just got really confused because someone was telling me 475, and I had 525, and I couldn't figure out why her number was higher than mine.

I wish I were still on vacation.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

475 is larger than 525, if the 75 is especially large....

SO TRUE.

Hubby and I both dreamed of our dead cat, Mouse, last night. I never dream about cats, and I very rarely dream about "people" I know. It's a little spooky. But Mouse is apparently very happy. I dreamed about him playing in a garden, and he came over to me when I called for a good visit and head scratch. Hubby dreamed about Mouse laying next to him and watching him, the way Mouse always did when they had quality time.

I suspect we're being haunted in a very pleasant way.

I've posted a link to a bunch of cool watches a while ago. I suddenly figured out how this watch's display works: [link] So awesome!

At first I thought the price was $100, but that seemed way low. Then I read the price correctly: 100k dollars. (That's $100,000. )

OK, won't be buying that anytime soon....

Recruiter just called me about a contract position. Located thirty miles away.

We really need to punch this week in the balls and run away to Tahiti.

Ooh, maybe Buffista Island can be in San Francisco Bay!

The only privately owned island on the San Francisco Bay is up for sale. Red Rock Island, 5.8 undeveloped acres plunked in the bay eight miles north of Fisherman’s Wharf, was purchased by attorney David Glickman in 1964 for $49,500. Now 78 and living in Bangkok, Glickman’s putting the island on the market at $10 Million.

...the price works out to be about $1.5 million an acre. "Where can you buy land for that in San Francisco?"

eta: Someone commented:

Every year the fact that Red Rock island is up for sale makes it onto local TV "news". The continued heartbeat of this story is an excellent measure of PR-as-news.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Heeee! I am giddy with tiredness! Actually being upset and unhappy has wrapped around the continuum to giddiness. Not a bad thing.

And I am making plans for next year. I just realized if I could find a job in Portland Unified School District for next year, I would get paid as much as I get paid now. Hmmm... must consider a move in the very near future.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Sounds like an excellent base for Justice League San Francisco.
