Aw, sorry, Suzi.
Is there a private place you can go with her, or even take a walk outside, where she can fully get her wig on (cry or rant or whatever) and, maybe, get it out of her system?
She works from home, in California, which is definitely contributing to the wiggage. I know how that goes -- you get yourself all worked up into a frenzy with no one to help you down. What I've actually done is take most of the wig-worthy project off her desk for the moment, and then when it's done (Monday, god willing), we can have a chat. It's a quandary, because she has legitimate issues, but they aren't issues we (she and I) can really do anything about, so the freaking out is just counterproductive. I've definitely been in her spot, and actually am not sure why I'm not there now myself!
It sounds like a movie plot to me.

ah, yeah, that complicates things. It really sounds like you are doing all you can to help her out. Maybe she'll be able to chill over the weekend.
Jesse - in all seriousness. When I get in that place - and I've been there a lot lately - it is usually cause I'm frustrated by a lack of information. Well, and a lack of control, but I'm freaky about that. I know it, I own it.

Sounds better than Ice Spiders, I tell you what.
Jesse, I'm sorry about the wigging. That's a tough situation.
sara, I loved your description of the prom prep, and I always love hearing about your neighbors. You have the kind of neighborhood I've always wanted.
{{{Suzi}}} But yay on no headache this morning!
Dang, I just googled "kodak kiosk" (I know there are other brands, I just know for certain this is the one at my grocery store)...and basically? I can hit just about any pharmacy, box or grocery store within distance for one of those thingies. Good to know.
To briefly explain the underlying issue, there's a large project that many people should be involved in planning, such as the people who will have to do the work. They haven't been, mostly. So she and I and the COO are having to deal with it kind of last minute, which is definitely frustrating, but I think she's taking it too much on herself. I figure, if the COO says it's OK -- and she's the boss of the ultimate workers -- then it's OK. So I'm taking on more of the "make up actual tasks for specific people" part, and the "make the whole thing less of a pile of crap" part, and giving her back more managable parts. I think it's helping...
