I'm all up in the law now, but damn it feels good to get my violence on.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I am happy that your sister and he were lucky enough to have found each other. I like happy endings.

The clothes? Those end up working out.

The happy is key. And they - and, by extension, your whole family and his - have that.

17 doesn't need reasons to be liked. All it needs is its essence of 17-ness.
It is very 17.

Fall down sleepy now. It was great "seeing" you for a while tonight, dear Nilly.

Night, Cass! It was lovely to "see" you, too!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

NILLY!

I'm up because Matilda has the miseries -- woke up an hour ago wriggling and grumping, and has been sobbing off and on for the past ten minutes. There's nothing obviously wrong; she's just wide awake and sad.

Congratulations to your sister!

JZ!

Matilda's sadness is my gain!

How are you doing? It's been - well, according to the Big-Bang-birth-of-a-planet-continental-drift scale I've just pulled out of my former edit - at least a sun or a few since I posted with you.

I'm horribly sleep-deprived, but other than that things are going well. Emmett just finished the fifth grade (which means different things in different parts of the US, but in his city it means he's done with primary school and is going on to middle school, the last short step before high school) and hit his first home run ever last weekend. Matilda is still very cute. Hec is nearly finished with his book. And I'm looking for a job (I still have a job, but my boss is retiring eventually and future prospects here aren't great).

And did I mention the sleep-deprived?

And now I'm off for a bit because Matilda is grumping and rubbing her eyes, so maybe a turn around the living room will finally get her down.

Oh, my goodness. JZ, you so totally made my day with those pictures!

Hope the both of you get some sleep in what's left of the night.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Birthday Happies, Plei!!!
