I went to see a band on Friday, and that was good, although by the time I got home I was slippery with sweat and my feet hated me. I went to lunch with friends on Saturday and had the best waffles ever, I flailed about Doctor Who for hours, and my foot took a hit out on me. Yesterday I spent the day lounging in bed with a stack of DVDs, and that was pretty good, too. Today I bought train tickets so I can go to my cousin's wedding at the end of the month.

Seriously, though, waffles with fresh strawberries and blueberries and toasted pecans.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I think they should bake the communion wafer in the shape of a bread bowl. Then pour in French onion soup, with a little wine in it... you could have a popular lunch special.

I didn't mean to imply that your epiphanatic (I doubt that's a word...) dreams were whacked out...just that mine are, which comes as no surprise to me. My sleeping brain is really squirrelly.

OK, I'm off. uhg. DO NOT WANT.

Congratulations on the new baby Jessica! He looks perfect. I hope you are doing well and that your husband enjoyed his first Father's Day.

And the coffee was fab, and the BACON. And my foot eventually stopped trying to kill me. I think. I hope?

It wasn't the best weekend ever, but I've had worse.

My dad loved his bacon chocolate present. He hasn't eaten it yet, I think because if he'd opened it, people would have insisted that he share. i'd actually bought another one so that we could all try it, but he still didn't want to open his :)

A woman has been telling my coworker the heartwrenching story of her abusive marriage and the violence perpetuated against her children. For about 20 minutes.

I'm ready to either leave the building or commit seppuku on the sharp edge of my own overactive empathy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hi, y'all! I am SO GLAD I took today off work! I got home from Vegas last night at like 11:30, didn't go to bed right away, and am now lounging. I need to do some errands, including going to the Post Office, although I have no idea what was sent to me. Hmm.

Hooray for Dylan MoonBone!!

And boo for bad hospital experiences.
