'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Speaking of things distantly related to other things, they found a pre-flight "bird" fossil, dubbed Gigantoraptor that would have been 26 feet tall:

For comparison, that's taller than most giraffes....

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Another thing I've considered is getting a '60s car, like a Ford Galaxie 500, but replace the drivetrain with a more modern, fuel-injected 5.0 ford v-8 and automatic transmission with overdrive. So it'd be more reliable, and get highway mileage in the mid to upper 20s.

Something like this '67 Galaxie: [link] Very pretty!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Didn't Stephen Colbert mention the Red Panda as not really a bear but still a threat at some point? The threat may even have been the overwhelming cuteness, I don't recall.

So, Giant Pandas are bears? I always get that wrong.

Galaxie 500! Yes, choose Galaxie 500! I have no reason for this except I used to park next to one and it was very pretty and I like the erstwhile band of the same name.

Red pandas are endangered - they're vegetarians, if I remember correctly, and there aren't many left.

I was wondering about their diet - the pictures show them chewing on twigs of some sort, but they have the eyes-in-front predatory binocular vision set up. Which could be tree-dwelling thing? I don't know.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I can haz red panda now? I'll feed it salad and everything. So cute!

tommy, would any of those mods require body modification, too? (Body of the CAR, people, I'm not asking tommyrot if he's getting a piercing.) (Are you, tommy?)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They will eat meat if provided, and like Giant Pandas will do the same in the wild if opportunity presents.

Just, you know, lazy.

I did actually own a Galaxie 500 once. A '72, so a different body style than the one I linked to. It belonged to my Grandfather - my mom (who was his guardian) took it away when it was no longer safe for him to drive. It was rusted all to hell and had 170,000 miles on it, but it ran OK. Fun to drive too.

Probably too heavy for the 5.0 treatment I described.
