Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh for fuck's sake -- it's not her personal problems affecting my meeting, it's her other meeting. @@ I want to tell everyone to fuck off SO BADLY.

Trust my rage

Yay, new babies! Also, yay for Hubs (tentative) promotion.

So sorry to hear about Teddy. I dread the day my dogs start to get ill.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Go Team Customer Service! I just called One Step Ahead to complain about the splash pool they sent me splitting at the seams after only a day or two of use and they offered me a replacement or a full refund without a bit of fuss. How cool is that?

We opted for another pool because they are really neat.

Makes me feel better about all the money I've spent with them the last three years.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh, that's SERVICE, indeed.

I just came back from my credit union, where the very nice manager rounded up three witnesses so she could notarize my will properly. And insisted on instantly xeroxing two copies for me. Now I feel all proper and everything, because Owning Property changed my poor little collection of assets into a small estate, so to speak. (Technically, the swift rise in the property value of the house did that.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That is a good story, Cashmere.

My neuro just told me to use my Percocet for true rescue only. I honestly wonder what she thinks I've been using them for so far. I can never tell where my bar is set.

ita - what is going on with the hospital admittance?

No admittance unless my migraine specialist is in town, because no one else wants to take responsibility for my noggin. He's not back in town until the end of this week.

Oh great, not only do you have to deal with the migraines but also the Kafka-style bureaucracy that is 21st century medicine.

Indeed!

I love the look of that little splash pool! It reminds me of when we used to pull out my old plastic pool and open the "Somerville Riviera" in the driveway.
