I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Good luck Jessica!

Why did I not stay home and watch News Radio all day?

I got my eyebrows done yesterday. I can't stop touching them.

Also, tell them your pain tolerance is a 2 and whatever you are feeling is much much worse. Don't try to tough it out.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yay, Jess!

I got my eyebrows done yesterday. I can't stop touching them.

Please to describe them in detail.

Art Crawl!!!

Fredpete - congratulations on your dh's good news but I am so sorry to hear about Teddy. Poor kitty.

ION, Ted is blogging Top Chef AND he has a PBS show:

Aside from guesting on “Top Chef,” I’m the host/narrator of a new public television show called “Uncorked: Wine Made Simple,” debuting in more than 150 markets this summer (check your local PBS listings!). It’s a lavish, beautiful production. I’m also continuing to judge cooking elsewhere, including on a show that originated in Japan and runs on a cooking-related cable network (wink-wink). I’m developing a couple of shows of my own. And I continue to work promoting my cookbook, “The Food You Want to Eat: 100 Smart, Simple Recipes,” which is available everywhere, including via this website or through Amazon.

Based on what he says about the last season of QE, I may have to watch it.

Have an easy delivery, Jessica!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What's the difference, really, between a supertaster and someone who is just a picky eater?

The intensity of the signals that go to the brain. What you do with them afterwards is, I guess, up to you. I think it's like having the volume on certain sounds cranked to 11.

Whoohoo, Jessica!

Sorry to hear about Teddy, Fred.

I'm sorry Teddy is not doing better, Fred.

Easy labor, Jess!

They really should not run the "this is a test" emergency alert sounds on the radio in the early morning. I was dreaming about the new nephew, and suddenly I was holding a baby going braaaaaaaaaaP braaaaaaaP braaaaaaP which was ... alarming. Also? I much preferred the old signal. This one is scary sounding and always fills me with dread. The old one was just as attention-grabbing, but didn't scare me.
