If every vampire who said he was at the crucifixion was actually there, it would have been like Woodstock.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I've begun the daily procrastination by entering books at LibraryThing. This is addictive. Someday they'll find me mummified at my desk, with this website open and a empty can of Mountain Dew standing guard over my caffeine-dessicated body.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

This is addictive.

muahahahaha

My problem is, I entered all my books into Library Thing...and then I know I bought more...but I also moved all my books around...so now I have no idea which books are in and which aren't! Noooo! Of course, I've also been meaning to re-alphabetize my books since I moved them...in March...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I knew I'd run into that problem with LibraryThing, especially because I'm also in the process of rearranging all my bookshelves (which haven't been organized since we moved here, 6 years ago). So I got a couple packages of shiny little sticky stars from Staples (say that five times fast!) and started stickering the spine of each book I catalogued. Now I can tell at a glance where I left off....

I've moved to Phase II of the process, which means I'm down in the living room going through the shelves there. I'm 13 books away from breaking 600, which will give me a good "stopping point" for today.

Hm. I've added a bunch, but only five are showing up in my "library". Did I do something wrong?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I was very good about adding books to LibraryThing when we first moved and started unpacking, but then there was a long stretch where we hadn't put the built-in bookshelves up yet, so most of our books were still in boxes. And then the shelves went up, and DH unpacked them all while I was at work, and I was so thrilled to finally have the books out of the boxes and back on display, the fact that they hadn't been entered into LibraryThing didn't occur to me until at least a week later. And the shelves are too high for me to get to while I'm this pregnant, so...yeah. I'm several hundred books behind.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't own enough books to get into LibraryThing. Huh.

Always Anti-fascist!

I think "Starter Wife" is funny.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I just attempted LibraryThing, and it deleted my account while I was cataloguing. Fuck that noise, I don't need the agita.

Art Crawl!!!

Yes, I thought it was going to be all soapy - but it got more funny as it went on. Despite the, you know, suicide or murder , whichever it is.
