Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Yesterday I planted some lavender and jasmine. I hope they live. So far, I brought the roses back to life and my impatiens are like, superradioactive monstrosities, but I've managed to kill everything else.

Trying to figure out what thrives in a part sun, dry climate.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Allyson, you should totally xeriscape.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm so tired of being tired, it's not funny.

Our wings are not tired.

There are dozens of things on my list and yet I am watching tennis. I would ask why, but the answer is obvious.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

brenda - good luck. And the bathroom is sort of what we want to do to our bathroom.

Allyson I have a book put out by East Bay MUD ( municipal utilities district) which is obviously for here - but I'll look through it and see if there are good suggestions.

eta: mexican sage is a good one - but it tends to take over . But birds bees and butterflies like it. There are some colorful grasses out there - If you need them to stay small there are some that grow in mounds and don't grow very big.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Many bunchgrasses are native to California, too, which is nice.

I'm on tape delay with the tennis. Might get something done after, I don't know.

Art Crawl!!!

I'm watching a repeat of Gil Mayo mysteries and there was a little Buffista like cross-conversation about appropriate use of apostrophes.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Pout. I'm supposed to be on my way into SF to see Juliana and POTC3, but my back decided it didn't like that idea, and that I should spend the day hobbling around the apartment and lying on the floor instead.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

You know what I need? A 24/7 chiropractor on call.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

As I suspected, I slept til 11am. Dang. Have done grocery shopping, am now eating an unhealthful lunch (Come on, I haven't eaten in 18 hours! I lost a whole pound yesterday, and that's probably why.) and will soon begin procrastinating in earnest.
