I definitely harassed my dad endlessly about quitting smoking, but I wasn't wrong -- and I don't really remember any full court press about it in school. (And boy, am I getting that back now....)
Natter 52: Playing with a full deck?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Question for the hivemind:
I have about 50 stamped self-addressed envelopes. These are envelopes from dozens and dozens of different people. I received the envelopes as part of a professional conference about 4 years ago and these are all individuals who I didn't need to mail items to.
I don't mail very much these days (nearly all my bills are electronic) and I don't know what to do with all these envelopes.
Can anyone recommend to me what I should do with these envelopes? They mostly have $.37 stamps on them except for a couple of larger envelopes that have more postage.
LeN, maybe donate? I'm not good with the actualities of such, though.
My mother smoked, quite a bit. Her attitude towards it (I will kill you if I catch you doing it) was all I needed as a kid. As an adult I guess it'd be more my own decision. I just don't want to.
Okay, watching ep 28 of Full Metal Alchemist, and I really want fish. Since this is the first time I've been hungry in a few days, this is wonderful.
Needless to say, I have no fish. Or cash.
It is 2007. I will find a way.
Allyson - I'm sure you've already thought of it, but DH reminded me tonight that your book is coming out within a couple weeks of Comic-Con. It's probably too late to get your own booth on the floor, but you should definitely have postcards made up to put on the swag tables! There will also probably be tons of 10th-anniversary-of-BtVS stuff going on that you could hook up with -- I bet some of the fan booths and comics vendors would love to have signed copies to sell at their tables.
You might want to look about doing the same thing at DragonCon!
There's a serious Buffy track at DragonCon (which will be extra-special crazy this year, with James Marsters coming).
That Hot Dads thing:
Sawyer??? Seriously - I totally didn't realize that he even knew about the little girl. When did we see him set up that bank account?
Also - Jack Bauer? Sure -- he'd kill to save you but you've been kidnapped and tortured because of him first.
And I was happy to see Keith Mars, Karl Agathon, John Winchester and Joe Dubois in that list.
I don't know- Jin really hasn't the opportunity to be a dad. Seeley's life as Dad isn't that much of his story and why didn't they include Noah Bennett?
Okay, I clicked that link when it first came up and then again after ita was here. Both times it came up Stabler. Feh.
Karl Agathon, mmm. I'ma be in my bunk.
I didn't get to ask earlier-- what are people doing this weekend?
Alternately, because I am postponing cleaning,
FCM:
John Crichton, Dean Winchester, Wesley Wyndham-Price
Sam Winchester, Tim Riggins, Charles Gunn
Alex Karev, Mark Sloan, Preston Burke
Both times it came up Stabler. Feh.
Did you click the next button Brenda?
Not that I stared at that page, wondering why Plei thought ita would care or anything.
That's because it's in reverse order and Stabler is #18.
(And yeah -- happy to see Erik Taylor on that list too.)
