Deconstruct?

Hmmm. It probably won't work in this context. The writer is talking about removing the current configuration of a program and then reconfiguring it. I think I'm going to hand the topic back to them and tell them to stop copying the mail from the dev word-for-word.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

revert? restore?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I guess I'm just old school. I've always worn suits to work. I don't really mind pantyhose. But that's probably because I've (almost) always driven to work and worked in airconditioned offices. the one time I took the train every day, it was London, so more often than not, you were grateful for the hose. My law firm went to business casual one summer and never went back. Also, I think that part of my not minding suits and hose is that, as a minority female, wearing a suit separates me from staff. Not that there's anything wrong with being staff, but it keeps me from having to say things like "motherfucker, I am licensed to practice law. If you need a copy, make it your damn self."

Wait, on second thought, it doesn't stop it from happening, it just makes it less likely.

If they're going back to defaults, I agree with "revert."

Yeah, that's one of the options I'm going to suggest. Thank you, Hivemind!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I don't think there is a dress code at my workplace, though I tend to go with "less casual than what I'd wear at home on the weekend". I'm still boggled by the people who wear flip-flops/sandals/ open toed shoes. People, this is a lab. There are chemicals and glass items all over the place. Exposing your toes here seems like a bad idea to me.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I hate wearing suits or pantyhose, or uncomfortable shoes. I pretty much dress in jeans and a t-shirt, with appropriate substitutions for cold or hot seasons, most of the time. Once I get an actual job as a professor, I'll have to switch that to nice slacks and a nice shirt (male professors wear jeans all the time, but I've never seen a female professor wear jeans), but I don't think I could handle wearing pantyhose every day.

Hil, this must be Rosinen - raisins. Though putting them in a Berliner is news to me; here, Berliners are jam-filled doughnuts.

Thanks. I think I'm going to squint at that word some more -- it seems like it ought to be some sort of flavoring, like vanilla or lemon or rum or something, but the quantity is way too much to be most of those.

Did you see my earlier post that I told you the wrong measurements?

Yeah, I saw that. Thanks.

I'd love to see some of the recipes once you've finished transcribing them, they sound fantastic.

I'm going to put a few of them up on my livejournal (larisa57) sometime later tonight, I think.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica
