I would guess that in most states, they will only grant a divorce if you married there or if one or both parties are resident.
And the Nevada deal is (or was, anyway) that the residence requirement was brief, right? I realize I'm getting this from The Women, but still.

It's an American version of a British TV series made by the same people who made Wallace & Gromit.
Come to Florida for your quickie divorce. No waiting period. Don't know about the residency thing. I did it myself for $21 for the paperwork package and about $60 filing fee. That was the easy part of the whole awful process. Divorce is tough, always.

LJ is being the slowest ever. EVER. On the other hand, I just made myself a white Russian, so I don't care as much as I might otherwise. I can't remember the last time I had a drink at home. I feel all... something.
