How much do they cost?
It depends on how much they do for you. Many of them have standard fees that they'll tell you upfront.
Dachau was creepy, but I think some of that was the fact that I felt like that kind of evil had to make the ground cry out. Civil War battlefields don't do it for me, except things like the shiver you get when you look down from the emplacements on Kennesaw Mountain and see how lethal it would have been to be attacking from below. Atlanta is kind of one big Civil War battlefield anyway. Those of you who came to the F2F were staying only a few hundred yards from the hill where Sherman watched the Battle of Atlanta.
Ya know you have a strange job when you are looking to score a ton of condoms. I was browsing Amazon, as ND said he got a sweet deal there. But I have to say, I really like [link]
Condom Depot site. They have a little comparison chart of how long, wide, and thickness of latex. Quite handy when trying to find a wide, dry, thick condom for work. I swear, it's for wireless microphones.
Too funny. OK, they have a ratings page, to compare various condoms:

Scroll to the bottom. The only condoms that rated Poor in strength were the free ones from Planned Parenthood. Hmmm, is that a case of "you get what you pay for"? Or a case "y'all come back now, you hear" repeat business model?
Some amazing photos of the collapse of the I-35w bridge, from the guy who lives nearest to the bridge: [link]
So. Nice crappy car day today. I left the lights on in S's truck, so the battery is dead. Completely. Wouldn't even take a jump.
And while I was driving my car around today, the Tansmissionpocalypse I was waiting for finally happened. My car turned into a paperweight. Had to have it towed to our mechanic. At least $1,400 to fix. Maybe as much as $2,000 - $2,500.
We're trying to deal with the battery issue in the hopes of getting back to
one
working car.
Feh.
S is fine, thanks, connie. She's doing well health wise, and otherwise is mostly well.
The University of the West Indies, Mona Heights is on the grounds of an old slave plantations.
The current buildings have ruins, and some dangerous ones, sprinkled among them.
I doubt anyone bolting from one class to another or rushing so they can go drinking pauses too many times to think of the blood shed under the whip and worse there. We certainly didn't when we were growing up playing at its Senior Common Room.
Hopefully the battery thing works out simply, Sean.
Multiple car~ma to Sean & S. Gotta love those double whammy days.

Yeah, the battery will probably be simple. In fact, a friend and neighbor of our has just carted off the battery to be recharged by someone he knows. He says it should be ready tomorrow morning.
