You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

Congrats on the new bike juliana!

Now that PC has gotten advice I need some.

I don't like my job, it's not horrible, but I'm ill suited for it. I'm fine with the answering phones and talking to people, but I suck at the paper wrangling I have to do. A big part of my job is organizing and maintaining files and binders, creating and updating spreadsheets, making copies, etc. I try to think Files and Records, Files and Records, Files and Records but that doesn't work so well. The other thign is I'm tied to my desk, which is not my strong suit either. And because of that and a few other things I'm starting to really not care about my job and it's showing.

The other thing is I'm starting to go back to school part time and looking at the fall schedule I can see that a lot of classes aren't offered in the evenings and I'll need to be available at some point between 8-5. Because reception is such a huge part of my job I can't leave, take a class, and then make up the time later.

So I want and need to make a change and I'm thinking that maybe retail as an assistant manager might be something I should try for. I have retail experience and experience as an assistant Manager (although for smaller stores) and retail is something I enjoyed. But I'm not sure what the pay is like and if I could afford to do that. I'm not sure how to find out what stores pay for assistant managers, but I've seen some positions advertised at Petco and Borders, which is what got me thinking about this.

I want to leave this job within 6 or 7 months and I was going to focus on an office job but I'm thinking retail would be a better fit. I want advice because of my track record to jump into a new thing without thinking about all the angles and I really don't want to do that.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Heh.

Well, turns out, we might be out of my parents house at the end of the month. We just signed a new client that we property manage for. She has a two bedroom apartment in a converted Victorian. The neighborhood is good, the price is pretty good. And, I know the landlord! Hmmm.

sometimes I hate you NoiseBob... o wait, that's not hate. That's envy.

And for whatever reason, reading the manual on my new subwoofers, this made me laugh for a good minute:

While the USW-1P limiters fully protect the system under overload conditions and exhibit smooth sonic characteristics; we recommend that you do not intentionally drive the USW-1P into continuous limiting to attain compression effects.

well duh!

Our wings are not tired

Check and see if there's a "Do Not Eat" label on the new subs somewhere.

are we sure that ND isn't in his garage in LA doing a lot of LSD?

I checked. Not there. Wouldn't have surprised me, though, given his posts of late.

Aims, hope the place works out for you!

All is well that ends in pizza.

From I Can Has Cheezeburger? a link to a YouTube short woth watching:

Meet Charley -- a very cute cat with cerebellar hypoplasia. he's ok, however his motor skills don't work properly. if your animal shows these symptoms like Charlie, ask your vet for more info!

And? Be prepared for your allergies to act up.
