Yeah, I do email to make sure it gets to them while they are making the decision.
In the world of higher education... (IME)... this is not a problem, as folks tend to move at the pace of lazy glaciers.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Juliana, did you still have a trip planned? I haven't heard anything recently.
I want to plan a trip, but the vroominess sort of took priority. I'm thinking maybe September? October?
Oh, please. Like I'm the fiendiest. You could be the fiendiest! In a given moment...
Now I get to mention the possibility of you moving here to Cass & Jilli. There will probably be squeeing. There was sleepified squeeing. Though I really would have more squee if the Portland job wasn't being a poopyhead.
Coffee is delicious!
You have a type?
Aside from, you know...alive?
HEY!!! Standing. Right. Here.
Oh, I'm sorry Kristin. I didn't realize you were undead.
It would be cool if after an interview one sent a singing telegram thank you. A strippergram might be pushing it, though.
Oh! That's a thought. I need to go to Idaho this month and I plan to take the train. It's a long trip and breaking it up into two trips with an overnight stay somewhere along the line makes sense. One of the ways I could go would be through Seattle.
The other is through Portland, where I definitely plan to stop on the way back, but maybe it would be good to see two different places/sets of people.
Hm.
Joe--from now on, I suggest you send a written thank you note directly to whoever interviewed you. It may not matter, but some managers set a lot of store by those things and you never know. We didn't hire one guy who blew us away in his interview because he never sent a note, and the head of that department felt that showed he didn't really want the job.
I send both e-mail and hand-written notes. And even if I am meeting with 15 people in a day, anyone who gives me a business card receives a handwritten note.
I've never interviewed for a job that I didn't get. Sent lots of resumes and not been called/contacted, but once I've interviewed, I've always received a job offer.
(that not wearing a bra thing must work!)

Virgin America, $129 each way, SFO to DC. I'm just saying.
I'm just saying. Despite ND's reputation as being a boozy, perverted rogue, he does actually have a type. And doesn't actually drink all that often, either.
I'm a little sensitive about it because today marks two years of us in the same state and one year of us living together. And I miss him and love him. And...and...yeah. It's kind of our anniversary.

Hey! We called dibs!
