In mema news: My Mom's been emailing with a psychologist friend of hers and we got a lot of helpful advice on dealing the asshat-in-law. Mom's going to ask them to stop visiting so often. Mostly Mom's friend told her she sounded like the person who wanted a dog that meowed and was upset that their dog kept barking no matter what they tried. Asshat-in-law is not going to change- all we can do is change how we react to him. We're going to give ourselves some time off (and Mom time off from The Visits) and then start changing the things we can change.

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
parent~ma to all those that are needing it.
tee hee hee. I got burnout revenge... I can play LIVE and see if anyone "Pete's"
also, just ordered Halo 3, so Pete can kick my ass in yet another game.
S'allright, Kristin. Mom needs it too! I just got an email asking for me to plan end of September and not end of August. Which works for me.
Typo Boy, you might want to ask. I think, although I'm not sure where I got this idea or if it's legit info, that renewals shouldn't take as long and the backlog was getting moved, but I could be making that up. You can always try the by mail thing and if that doesn't work you'll have to stand in line. Which is now what I might do.
I got blindsided by the communists this morning. Ugh.
Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins:
Anne, much health and good hospital stay to your step-dad. I hope he heals quickly, and I'm glad he's back in town where you can visit.
Well, Aims is on her way to The Windy City. Dropped her off about an hour and a half ago.
Sigh.
Anne, lots of ~ma for your stepdad.
SuziQ, NOT too old. Nope.
Laga, that's pretty sound advice. I hope you guys can work out some sort of plan to deal with the asshat. I know it's not easy.
MM, you and DH are good men. DH also kept the heathens while I escaped this weekend. I'm at my sister's so I could attend on my niece who just had her third baby (Baby Jaren is an adorable little boy who was 8lbs, 6oz and a whopping 21 inches long). It's been nice to spend some time with family and snuggle the slug-newborn without worrying that Owen was going to burn the hospital wing down.
I'm also eating Ghiradelli's carmel-filled chocolates for breakfast.
I am throwing a baby shower today. I have to clean the bathroom and go into the final stages of party prep and now I'm wiped out! Ah well. It will be done. It's not till 2.
And there will be Pimm's!
~ma to the Buffista parents. Please, please get better, all of you, and stay healthy!
Geez, what the heck is going on around here? Are buffistas and buffista loved ones keeping the medical industry in business these days or what? Tons of ~ma going out to those with relatives dealing with health problems.
And some more ~ma, of the It's Nothing! kind, for Bev and lisah. I'll have the No Freak Out in Public thoughts going strong for you, Bev, until you check in to let us know you're back home on Monday.
Suz, love, you're NOT too old to color your hair any ol' gorgeous color you want. I think you know that I used to use Feria's Chocolate Cherry on mine. I've also used the color you linked to. Between the two, I think you'd like the latter more than the former... if you're going for darker, that is. I liked both.
Can't wait to see Aimee's new haircolor!
Nicole, are you around for a little lit?
