Raq - does mal have the fever/not-eating/horrible in the afternoon thing? or the snuffly thing? Both just ran through Baltimore like crazy. From what teh pediatrician said to us, the first seems to be about 4 days of joy. The second we avoided - knock on wood. I still think they should create an 'it's going around' blog somewhere that parents can look at to see what's in the air. Tough that Dr. says that would get him very sued. Good though: Iris is back in full swing and practicing packing by hiding my checkbook in various boxes and under pillows.

oh, and in a follow-up meeting with Evil Lumberjack (if anyone remembers the earlier saga), she has decided to go along with the plan for now, with a heartfelt "well, this is what we were asking you for seven years ago!" I've decided to take the high road and not remind her that they've had this "this" ready to go for five years, at least (and they've completely ignored it), that it was NOT what they were asking for - it is better and less filled-with-disaster, and in the meantime, the particular evil that they expressed has been stored long-term, for spite-raising later.

Utilities would probably be a bitch and a half - specially with the heated outbuildings.
I've email to ask if they'll take pets and if they do, we can go have a look-see and ask about the cost of heating the darn thing.
But damn, I'd love to live there.
