I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

Book ,'Serenity'

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Nicole!

We put together three bookcases tonight. I have to figure out tomorrow how to jam my last eleven boxes of books into two of them.

This is the bookcase. I'll have pictures of the apartment in a couple weeks when it doesn't look like a disaster area. We're still waiting for our pantry to be finished at the wood place we ordered it from and then the four boxes of food can be unpacked too. Plus, I still have to get TCG to get his bike out of the dining room.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Link goes to Staples' front page, sj.

You organize groups of hikers with pack-in gear for several days, plus kitchen, plus food, it's a trek. Wilderness Trek!

Nicole, did I say hi? Hi!

I also forgot to wish CJ happy on his birthday. And...probably other stuff. Senility is hard, y'all.

Pretty, sj! (Bev, enter you zip code and it should take you to the pic of the bookcase. Did for me.)

Hi, Bev!

Why does tomorrow have to be Monday? Off to bed. Stupid having to work to make money thing.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Today I sent a really nasty reply to a Nigerian scammer. The scam email went on at length about the blessings of the lord and I retorted with "how dare you prey upon the gullible in the name of the lord? Any money you get out of this is damned- as are you." or some such. And I'm an atheist! I wonder why I went off like that. I must be really mad about something.

Always Anti-fascist!

Laga, have you ever seen [link] That guy wrote some great replies. Oh, and I'm like Spike right now: I just realized what I want from the disability-rights movement is "a little less ritual and a little more fun." And I love blooming onions, too.

I'm not sure that link is right. It says "coming soon" with a bunch of links.

I used to love the blooming onions until one fateful evening of drinks and appetizers.

Always Anti-fascist!

Oh, really? Guess it's been a while since I've been there, but this guy started writing back to all his spammers. Some of the responses were really off-the hook, too. Jonathan Something. Yeah, I can see how that might happen.

You can find all sorts of interesting stories by googling "scam bait" My favorite was the guys who actually got their scammers to act out (and film!) a version of the "Dead Parrot" sketch from Monty Python. I would find the link for you but I can't access YouTube from work. Searching for "scam dead parrot" would probably pay off.
