Are you allergic to alpacas, Connie?
I love llamas. They're aparently useful as guard animals with sheep herds--they live longer and are less apt to attack the sheep than dogs and are just as effective at scaring off coyotes.
So, do I take a day off of work, go to West Seattle, and spend the afternoon/evening surrounded by geebling teens, just so I can see my rockstar crush object? I can't decide.
That's a tough call. I'd probably do it, though.
Llamas scare off coyotes? That would be something to see.
I like the alpaca question x-post.
Moral: Don't piss off the petting zoo. The baby deer and goats will eat your fingers to get to the treats.
Truer words were never typed. My friend, Mo, nearly got gored by one of the more exotic, long-horned animals (I forget which one) yesterday.
Alpaca x-post, that's funny.
He tried it on on an emu, staring into its eyes. Said emu got pissed and pecked him right between the eyes. It made a sound just like knocking on a coconut. Friend nearly went down with a concussion, and emu was looking very smug.
Serves him right. Offended his emu dignity, he did.
There are llamas with the sheep near where I used to live in NM.
But then, there's one that was supposed to be a sheepherding llama, but had its own ideas about its destiny. It spent all its time standing around on top of mesas, looking very picturesquely into the middle distance. The sheep just wandered around until they fell into the wash or something.
We used to see it all the time.
Home from the picnic. Must pack to go back out to my cousin's. I don't wanna. I wanna sit and do nothing.

No, you do not. Not on short order, and while you're in a state of not really caring (for good reason) re: job, I don't think it's worth the potential manager stress.
Thank you, Plei.
BTW, drop me a line with what the plans are for SA's visit. Besides the squeeing, of course.

Plei is actually really damn wise here.

We've actually only got that far...
She's here Tuesday and I still need to find her flight info so I can actually collect her from the airport.
