Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Please, no more Buffista parents in surgery today, okay?

And tons of vibes to your father and to his surgeons, d.

Happy birthday, SA! Though I'm still all woe-betided that you won't be in SF on this trip. By the time you meet Matilda she's going to be a total small person, not a rosy little baby. Still adorable and lovable and yum, but not baby yum.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Yay...hmph.

under the proposal, the House Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Subcommittee would receive approximately $9 billion more than the president requested. Forty programs that the president wants to eliminate or reduce would be restored and receive at least level funding. In addition, the House's proposal offers hope that a new mathematics education program would finally become a reality . . . With that said, the administration has warned that the president will veto any bill that calls for more funding for an agency than the White House has requested.

ETA: Note effective use of serial comma! Also, huh. I may dislike him, but doesn't normal usage call for President to be capitalized for the current one? Or is it not a proper noun because we refer to both current and former ones as presidents?

Only if you use his name (i.e. President Bush).

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Juliana - we are still on for tonight. Now I REALLY need the escape. K-Bug is looking forward to seeing you too.

Yay! It's a press screening, so if you can get there around 6:45-7, awesome. I got more passes, so P-C is joining us, too. Huzzah!

Hair advice from the graying Bitches, please? The spiffy new haircut is really putting all my gray on vivid display and I'm feeling a desperate need to do something before my job interview next Wednesday. There's no room in the budget for a proper salon visit, which I know is the best option for dark hair with visible gray, so it's going to have to be something from the drugstore. Suggestions for any brands that do a dark brown or dark red that'll cover up the gray for more than a few days?

Do you want it perm or semi-perm? I've found Herbal Essences to be the nicest, but you might also be able to get away with the Freida Color Glazes, that don't dye at all but leave color on your hair.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Aw, I know! This is the first time I get to meet the Bean too, and she's all toddlery and stuff. I just have to live vicariously through pictures, and maybe next year do California again.

Awwww. We need pictures of you cutieheads too.

I have strong prescience that that may well occur tonight.

ION, it is raining like mad crazy here. I couldn't hear it over the air conditioner, but then a freaking Thor-sized thunderbolt rang throughout the hills and I was all WTF? And thus saw that the sky was falling.

All is well that ends in pizza.

car~ma for Andi and Daniel.

Thanks for all the car~ma, everyone. I got my Caprice squad car out of mothballs, and although it needs an exhaust manifold, exhaust repair, cosmetic repair, and the tranny is a bit sticky, it ran like a dream to work and back.

Also, my cousin Steve (who is muuuch better now, for those who remember my talking about him) says it might not be a thrown rod, but something inside the engine that is cheaper to fix. Full eval this weekend.
