Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

This is what makes shopping for shoes so much better. It's easier finding things that fit and are stylish and comfortable.

I got new running shoes today and since it was a buy one, get one half off sale, I bought these. Liv has them in pink and I know why she wants to sleep in them. They are comfortable as hell!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Oh see that's not fair. Why can't we get the pink ones in grown-up sizes?

They had some pretty ones, including silver in adult sizes but none as pretty as the sparkly, pink girls' shoes. *sigh*

mmm, cake.

is there any clothes shopping experience that IS good for a woman's self-esteem? What with the horror-show lighting

The other day I was in the banana republic store, and cursed their GOOD lighting--it was all dim and indirect, it made EVERYTHING look pretty good. For once I was in a mirror going 'Yeha, I look goooood". Still didn't buy the $100 knit dress, but I was damn tempted.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Anyone ever shipped stuff with Amtrak? How much does it cost?

I've shipped stuff via Greyhound, a long time ago so I don't remember the exact prices and I'm sure it wouldn't apply anymore, but it was cheaper than any other option for moving the bulk of my stuff to college.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

the fashions that don't flatter anyone except the big-boobed sticks we're apparently supposed to be

Fashion doesn't flatter anyone larger than a B cup. Breasts apparently ruin the line.

Fashion is evil and mean.

High fashion may not flatter a B cup, but regular people clothes aren't great for an A cup usually either...ESPECIALLY if you have the audacity to be an A cup and not a size 2 with no hips....

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Breasts apparently ruin the line.

Pfft. In my store all breasts will look fab-u-lous. And come with a sprinkling of glitter should you so desire.

Seriously, it took me a loooooong time to come to grips with these babies. A designer who doesn't appreciate them isn't worth the silk de chine or whatever crap they use to line their dresses. I will say D&G does breasts well, as does Donna Karan and DVF.

I have gots to show y'all that D&G dress I have.

Note to self: get Daisy Jane financing to open clothing store, stat.
