We had beth b, her DH, juliana, her M, -t, JZ, dear Matilda, consuela, megan walker, emily, and Lee. So much fun, good food, and laughter.
It was a great time. Thank you for hosting it, Suzi.
I go nap now.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

jealous Of all of you! I hope Tom Scola is feeling better tomorrow and gets to socialize.
One of the things on our Edinburgh list is to buy the new HP and read it - we're there on the 21st.
One funny thing, is that JK Rowling holed up writing the end of the last book in a super swanky hotel in downtown Edinburgh called the Balmoral, which is basically right across the street from the place we were staying after Christmas (maybe the 26th or 27th?) and then later I find out that there's a pretty good chance that we were there the same time she was! Not the same place, but within a stones' throw... [link]

I wish that were an option for me. That's what Joss did when he wrote "Lover's Rock" - just shacked up in a hotel room with a cassette box filled with The Replacements and Husker Du.
Though JZ has been awesome about vacating the house with Matilda while I try to finish.
Jilli, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your Gothic Charm School entries. I'm not goth myself, but I love reading your Lady of the Manners posts.
Hec, sorry you don't have a hideaway spot, but good luck on finishing your oevre.
I'm hot. And tired of working on projects.
Brunch was very good.good food. There was much sympathy in your direction , David. a mild funny: a number of people had to apologizes to JZ -, because they greeted Matilda and ignored her. We talked book, hair, health care in America, Harry potter, fanfic, and clafouti.
Dag...wanna teleporter now.
Mmm, clafouti. I want a transporter too.
Coincidentally, one of the projects my company is funding for FY08 is "Teleporter."
I was very bummed to discover that it wasn't what I'd hoped it was.
Robert is off to his last two weeks of his Masters program. He left after lunch, and Mal subsequently came unglued. Part of the show involved Mal yelling at me from the landing, then blowing raspberries, then (I wasn't looking) he started crying in earnest. So I go over to find that he'd stuck his head through the banisters, and it's now stuck - he can't pull it back out. That was fun.
You got him out though, right?
