Yeah, that was the link I provided upthread, but it was buried in a giant pile of other crap...
I clicked on your link (although I have no idea when I'll ever get to
Edinburg)! totally fascinating but I didn't understand exactly. Is this part of the city actually underground?
No, not at all, just wanted to second your seconding of it! It was a lot of fun.
One place I really like that you don't hear a lot about is the Museum of London. It's right next to a pretty good sized chunk of the London wall.
Also, drink some real ale for me. Ah, Britain, the land of great beer.
yeah- Edinburgh's kind of freaky that way... they just sort of kept... building UP. You can see it still in the upper stratas.

Wow! I really need to make a plan to visit there. I would LOVE that.
juliana, that was fantastic. Who knew it would work so well as a Bond theme?

Dame Shirley Bassey, I guess. Who looks freakin' awesome. I need the name of her plastic surgeon.
One of Tom's university buildings (where the Computer Science dept. was) had different entrances on different floors from different streets. It housed all sorts of stuff, and it was under one roof, but... not quite. It had a pub in the basement, which is what likely set it on fire a few years ago...
Also so totally and completely FTW - Dame Shirley Bassey covering Pink's "Get The Party Started".
Wow, that was awesome. So pretty!
Gris, Oxford? Go to the Bodleian Library. It's the coolest thing ever. Christopher Wren designed part of it. And if you're into Harry Potter, the only time the Bodleian Library has allowed use of film cameras is for doubling as Harry's hospital. HP paid for some extensive work on the place in return.
Suzi, it's javachik, not javacat, who can't go Sunday. Well, I dunno if javacat can go, actually, but javachik....eh....you get what Ima sayin'!
