Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Can you explain to them that, for obvious and well-proven reasons (Tuskegee airmen), there's a big system in place to protect research subjects and,

actually, you mean Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment, not airmen. Big difference.

Our wings are not tired.

Sigh. Athol Fugard. That was an incredible play.

ETA: I mean Dr. David Feldshuh.

Er. New dilemma: do I edit, and make Vortex look crazy? Nah. Yes, of course I do. D'oh.

Yeah, that's part of what made it impossible to go, "What? What? I didn't do it nobody saw me you can't prove anything!"

Okay, I've spent the last 20 minutes trying on outfits to wear to go get my hair colored. I'm a sad, sad unhip person.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Do you think she'll be offended if I kinda just didn't do anything with it today, since that's the only thing I'm leaving the house for?

Some of my best friends, as they say, are stylists, and they would think you were mildly crazy to do stuff with your hair only to have them rinse it out a few hours later. This is not to say that they don't have clients who won't get the mail without spending a half hour on their hair.

meara - Jul 12, 2007 3:48:37 pm PDT #6281 of 10001

The only reason I can think to do the hair would be if you weren't able to do it like she did, and wanted ot be all "HI, this is how my hair behaves for ME--is there any additional cutting you need to/can do for it?"

Mostly lurking...

Oh, my. This Illinois trip is really happening. And plans are coming together. I'm seeing people I haven't seen for five years. This is insane.

Someone pinch me.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The status is NOT quo.

Leaping to the end of about 300 posts...

I am in CT. I owe Emily and Miracleman mail and more, but that ain't happening tonight. Sorry guys--I'll try to get back to you tomorrow. This is the first time I've been online since early Wednesday morning, and I'm beat. I did get the emails, though, and I promise replies are coming.

Much thanks to the lovely Poets of Worcester for putting me up last night (not to mention treating me to oh-so-yummy late-night snacks) and hanging out with me today.

So very tired. So very jet-lagged.
