Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Insent AmyLiz! Perhaps I will get to meet Winchester...

I had a most lovely dinner the last 2 days. Now that I am in the bosom of my family we tend to share a lot of meals. I know work will consume me most of the time so I cooked for all of us Sat and Sun. (My parents, sister, and nephew all have homes in Otter Lake)

Saturday I made Italian Wedding soup and salad. The soup had lots of spinach and some fresh basil and was a big hit. Yesterday I made rice and chicken breasts smothered with mango chutney that my neighbor made just before I left Florida. Tasty. Now I'll let them feed me the rest of the week.

I have been a stranger the last week or so. We traveled, we nested. It's been busy. More later, I hope.

Tomorrow I have to leave about 3am to get Brendon to the Syracuse airport for a 6am flight home. He'll be missed, a lot.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Years ago my mother adopted a stray that had had her kittens at a co-worker's cabin in the woods. She adopted the mother and one of the kittens, someone else from the office adopted the other kitten. The mother cat showed signs of having been abused, but a few months of regular food and affection brought out her pet cat personality - I was so pleased the night she crawled into my lap and purred for the first time!

Winchester (and, um, I'm not exactly sure he's a boy yet, but whatever) is extremely friendly. I can't believe he wasn't a pet at some point. He comes right up to you and lets Sara pet him, in that not exactly finessed three-year-old way.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Dammit.

I forget a bowl to put my lunch (lentil soup) in. And there is NOTHING in our kitchen to put it in.

I didn't want to spend the $$ on buying a lunch today. Sigh.

I did! Thank you... now I need to work out when we can go...

Nora, if you do figure out a date, let me know as I go up pretty regularly and I'd love to go out and play in Portland with you guys.
