Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Aw, thanks.

I have a cherub story that brightened my day (really bad L stuff I may ask advice on when I figure out what it is I'm looking for).

Email from K: Beau and I have been hanging out on the stoop drinking beer (me, not him) waiting for Trey to get off work. I put Soul Rebels on about an hour ago. I brought Beau inside so I could go pee and he stopped near the radio and fussed -- then pointed at me and the table and said "down, down" while pointing at the table. I finally realized what he meant and put my beer down. Then he pointed at my other hand and did the same thing. I put my cell phone down. At that point he grabbed my hands and started dancing. Not only did he dance -- but he dropped down -- and didn't even fall on his butt!!! Baby boy can dance :-)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Fred Pete - no news on Teddy yet?

The preliminaries (done in the office Tuesday night) look very good. His creatinine dropped from 6.5 to 4.4 -- 2.5 is the top end of normal. His red blood levels climbed from 15 to 17 -- better but still anemic. Proteins were 8.3, which was up a bit.

The (new) vet also sent the sample to the lab for more detailed analysis, which should come in today. Meanwhile, we've cut back on the prednisone and cut out the respiratory medication completely, which makes everybody happy. She won't say Teddy is out of the woods, but we're no longer talking in terms of a matter of days.

He's acting more like his old self, too. I got a claw in the upper lip while we were giving him his meds Wednesday morning.

Those sound like wonderful numbers, Fred. And sometimes a claw in the lip can be an oddly wonderful thing. Or, well, you know what I mean, anyway.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

A little blood in the sewing, DJ? What is this dress for?

In costumes its considered good luck. In that dress? You don't need luck.
