Emmett's All-Star team won their first game tonight, 18-2 vs. Martinez. (All Stars is separate from the tournament schedule, and a bigger deal. This is how you work your way up to the Little League World Series.)

Oy - apparently there's a Little League All-Star pledge you have to recite before the game. God and country are mentioned. Yeesh.

and I thought the baby lady was rude. The snack bar cashier just told me someone threw a pretzel at her because it wasn't hot enough.

And then she gave him a refund!

I said, "OK it probably won't happen agaion since it's never happened before but you should know... that's assault and he should have at the very least been thrown out. We would have been within our rights to call the police." She's a great employee. We were twice as busy as we expected to be and she never lost it once. I didn't even find out about the pretzel thrower until I was giving the cashier a gift card for doing a great job.
