Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I know better than to ask my mother why she thought calf riding was a good idea. I suspect, however, that it has something to do with something called a "Stampede" though in an unofficial sense. (Her town had/has one. It's not the Calgary one, by any means, but was/is a big deal for the place.)

I knew she'd broken her arm (she fractured it in the fall, too), but I'd missed the part in previous retellings about the dislocation, and my now-uncle pulling her arm back into place while she sat in the back of his car.

Sometimes, I think she was so overprotective, not just because she worked ER for years, but because she knew damn good and well what kind of trouble kids could get into, having been there, done that herself.

Is Nyquil mixy with Vicidin?

JenP - Jun 29, 2007 11:18:30 pm PDT #4926 of 10001

I'm left wondering whether Suzi found an answer or just decided to find out...

I woke myself up coughing. Ouch. I was even having weird dreams about the need to cough in twos or something. Very odd. Now I'm having tea and honey and the internet.

Gosh. Haven't been in here in yonks. I canna keep up right now. Boo. But hugs and yays and whatnot.

Dislocating an elbow sounds beyond the pale painful. I mean, banging my elbow is bad enough. I think I'm going to stop trying to imagine now. shudder

ETA: Oh, yeah - I knew there was something I was going to, well, whine about - lj is down for maintenance! But I need it for entertainment! Boo.

Our wings are not tired.

Hopefully the Nyquil did its magic thing. It doesn't do ir for me, but DH loves the stuff.

Ouch, waking up coughing isn't fun either.

I worked until almost 2, but got stuff done. More stuff to do today. The most recent plan is to leave for Otter Lake on Monday. It would be faster if computers worked in a more predictable manner.

Because books.

Laura, my profile address is good -- when you get up here, shoot me an email and maybe we can get together?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Up early, for absolutely no reason and no need on a Saturday...

But I have my grown up cartoons (Formula One qualifying) and coffee, so it's good. And should be a gorgeous day.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm up. I really don't want to be, but TCG is making me tea, so it's all good.

Ugh. Cassie, why are you up so early, too?
