Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Yay, Robin and DH!!! That house is very cool!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yay house! That is fantastic news, Robin. And a gorgeous place.

Happy Birthday, David!

Yeah, I've gotten several things from there and I'm happy with them all. Things are rhodium plated, so I can't verify that they are, in fact, sterling silver, but for $5.99, I don't care.
I've been happy with the things I have from them. And been complimented.

My dishwasher was potentially recalled. Someone is going to inspect it tomorrow, apparently. Which is a lovely reason to skip doing dishes tonight. Let's, for the moment, ignore that I ran it last night and that's it has been here quite a while.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Happy Birthday Hec!!!

What. It's still today. Sort of.

Juliana, I saw a pic of your tat in progress, and it was lovely, but this is so very much better even than that. Wow. Gorgeous!!

With web presses, a publication is printed on giant rolls of paper and then folded down into signatures that, for a full web press, are a multiple of 16. Then the big pieces of paper are folded and trimmed. If you want to go down any amount that isn't a multiple of 16, you either have to go to a smaller press or you have to have the smaller signature inserted separately, both of which cost money.

Couldn't you just have some empty pages? I've seen books with empty pages. Is that a not. done. thing?

It's not a Good Thing. When I worked in publishing, blank pages were the failsafe sign that a screw up happened after we were supposed to go to press. Often when we were already at press.

Trust my rage

Good Morning, All! I am *so* glad it is Friday. This week has seemed like forever.

My weekend will be filled with washing and packing because on Wednesday, I'm heading to my cousins' wedding, Very excited because my entire family from both sides will be there. Besides seeing my family, I'm looking forward to easy access to babysitting, shopping, and movie-watching. My brother and cousins and I are going to see Transformers. I'm excited because we all used to watch the show as kids.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Enjoy the wedding and the visit, Stephanie!

Yay for home-owning Robin & DH!

I'm pleased it's the weekend, too. It's DH's off-week (which means he doesn't work this Friday) so we have three days at home. Last weekend was my sister's wedding and the weekend after this one is my nephews, so we're going to enjoy this weekend at home and get some stuff done around the house and yard.
