Mal: Okay. She won't be winning any beauty contests anytime soon. But she is solid. Ship like this, be with ya 'til the day you die. Zoe: 'Cause it's a deathtrap.

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"I've got a gun! I've got a mother-flippin' gun!" - Moss, The IT Crowd

Thanks to a fellow crazed MCR fan, I now have photographic proof that the lead singer is as much of a geek as I suspected. He plays Magic: the Gathering! My hazy plan of exploiting using Pete's Magic Art Cred to meet the band actually has a chance of working! Now I just have to figure out who to contact with the question "Would the band like to meet a World Famous Fantasy Artist?"

Hrm. As much as I roll my eyes at Jilli's fiendish schemes, it has to be said that there must be a larger plan at work when Jilli's favorite boy-band is found to love the game that's been almost my entire output for 14 years.

By the way, love, you'd do better with 'World Famous Magic Artist". FWIW.

Also, Happy Birthday, Hec.

God knows I get several oos and ahhs when I point at a card and say, "I know him."

Our wings are not tired

Huh, when I say that to people they usually reply, "Well isn't that adorable."

Connie; I am constantly amused by this fact.

Eh, you have a measly list. I've got a roster.

And you, my friend, are on it.

Time to get on my plane.

Pffft.

Halo-beatings await you.

And, I suppose to be fair, I should get a racer sometime too.

Connie; I am constantly amused by this fact.

It's especially fun when I'm wearing the Perky Goth shirt, then I pull "Devil Bunny Wants A Ham" off the shelf and say, "I understand this joke, too. Who wants to touch me?"

Yeah, the urge to play "cooler than thou" never seems to go away.

Heh, at the gothic con I was at recently, I was hanging out in the lobby and a group of strangers sat nearby cracked open some Cheapass games and a copy of Chez Dork. I found myself mighily amused as I knew the designers & artists of all the games, and am married to one of the game's characters.

It made me chuckle.

Of course, maybe not as much as my barista this morning who asked me if I'd ever heard of a guy called Frank Frazetta...

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We sent in a counteroffer this week on the house we really REALLY want. Since we are negotiating with a huge faceless bank, we have no way of knowing whether they are going to counter back or are going to say they already countered once and how DARE we ask for a lower price and that we can't have it at any amount and flounce off in a bankish way. Our real estate agent doesn't know either--she hasn't been able to get a real person on the phone over there. She says not to worry, but, well, we are.

Large corporation-ma would be appreciated for the next few days.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Is it a foreclosure Robin? Those can take a while. It's pretty normal to wait while banks run it through their various bureaucraxies.
