Our publication is saddle-stitched - no web press needed, but still, we need to have a page count divisible by four. This month's is - finally! - coming in at 48 pages, which is pretty much usual. But the woman frustrates the hell out of me - aside from ignorance about some really basic things. And it seems every time I try to talk to her, she hears something different from what I'm trying to say. As in, last night, after I'd gotten the stories laid out, she likes to go through and decide on the order of the stories, ad placement, etc. So she stuck half-page ads over some full pages of text ... and then when I said something about cramming in the ads, she looked puzzled, said "cramming? what do you mean?" and then got angry I was getting "snippy" with her and pointed out she almost never asks me to work late or over the weekends ... which wasn't the problem! snarl
