Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

vw, also -- do you have any vinegar? (White vinegar or cider vinegar -- NOT balsamic or red wine.) Seriously, it works to quell the burn-y pain. Just soak a washcloth with it, and pat the sunburned areas and let air dry. Or if you have an empty spray bottle, pour the vinegar in that, and spray it on.

I speak from many years of sunburns as a fair-skinned kid.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Yay, Emmett!

Random snippet of conversation with Paul.

Me: "It's a truly tragic hole in our collection that we don't have Zeppelin IV."

Paul: "I don't think we have any Zeppelin."

Me: "We don't, because mine didn't make the transition from tape to CD. I wonder if there's a store where I could go get Zeppelin IV and some cheap beer."

Paul: "The same store?"

Me: "Yes. The Zeppelin IV and Cheap Beer Store."

Can someone find em the Zeppelin IV and Cheap Beer Store? I think it would really help this freaking writing I'm trying to do if it existed.

Mostly lurking...

Ok. Just took ibuprofen, and I'll try the vinegar. Just took off my top and put on a very soft t-shirt. It's worse then I thought, and most of the way down my arms to my elbow. I'm glad I had a good day, because otherwise I'd be beating myself up for being this stupid.

VW, sunburn sneaks up on the best of us.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

The Zeppelin IV and Cheap Beer Store

Get thee to a truck stop!

The Flying J is, like, a zillion miles south of me, damn it! And I think all they have is both kinds of music, country and western. Damn city life!

Seriously, I should just go hit Barnes and Noble and the neighboring QFC, but I won't because that's TWO stores, and I only have the motivation for one.

I'm getting the pig!

Tommy, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know it's always sudden, but this was sudden...er. And I totally get your dark humor side. I would've been cracking up through my tears, had someone said that to me in a similar situation.

Happy Birthday, Sean!! I hope it's been a good one and that this year treats you fabulously.

vw, I'm pulling up a comfy chair to sit in your sunburn corner. If you can find aloe with lidocaine at your local drug store, BUY IT! Seriously. Katerina Bee turned me on to it the last time she was here and it's a wonderful thing. Takes the sting out of the burn immediately. I love the stuff.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Nicole, can you hop on IM for minute?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

CJ pitched today for the first time...evah. He struck out his first batter. He kept a smile on his face the whole inning. And he gave up a homerun.

But all in all, he LOVED the experience.
